I knew pursuing a career internal medicine would be the best fit for me to best understand the body as a whole to provide the most comprehensive care to patients.

Often there is a medical void that exists for those who are past their reproductive years. Obstetrician/gynecologists are not often trained in menopause and internists are not often trained specifically in sexual and reproductive health.

Menopause impacts patients from their mood, sleep quality, sexual function, cardiovascular health, and risk for developing conditions such as diabetes and osteoporosis. Knowledge of health throughout the lifecycle is paramount. Bridging this gap for patients is my goal.
