Jen Romanello, MD

Jen Romanello, MD is resident physician at NYU. She attended medical school Rush Medical College in Chicago and grew up in Manhattan, NY. Her professional interests include sexual medicine, menopause, chronic pain, neuroplastic symptoms, metabolism and nutrition, and lifestyle medicine.

 

She has been recognized for starting and growing a movement among students and trainees to learn about and engage in the field of Female Sexual Medicine. She is President and Founding Member of the Medical Student Forum on Female Sexual Medicine (FSM), an independent trainee-led group that creates opportunities for education, research, and networking in the field of FSM. Since 2020, this organization has reached over 1000 medical students. She is Co-Leader of the Early Career Special Interest Group at the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms.

 

Her clinical research and publications have focused on topics including clitoral adhesions, chronic pelvic pain, medical education, and infertility.

 

She has given multiple lectures, speaking on topics including sexual medicine, pelvic pain, and reproductive mental health.  She has also been featured on  multiple podcasts, including Dr. Streicher’s Inside Information: the Menopause Podcast (by Lauren Streicher MD), and Gyno Girl Presents: Sex, Drugs, & Hormones (by Sameena Rahman MD).

 

She is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms, the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, and the Menopause Society.
